Prime Minister Han Sung-sook Chairs Ministerial Meeting on AI Transition

Prime Minister Han Sung-sook presided over a meeting with ministers involved in artificial intelligence (AI) on the 1st, her first official engagement since taking office, to discuss ways to accelerate AI transition. Ministers from relevant ministries responsible for AI policy, including the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, attended the meeting.

The meeting focused on key tasks such as innovation in AI administration and public AI services, the spread of physical AI, and the opening of public data. Participants agreed on the need to achieve tangible results early in the key areas presented by Prime Minister Han, including innovation in public AI transition, the expansion of physical AI, and the opening of public data.

This meeting is expected to provide momentum for the Yoon Suk-yeol administration's AI policy initiatives and strengthen cooperation among related ministries.
