The Democratic Party Election Management Committee announced on the 16th that Kim secured the highest number of votes with a 46.66% share, leading candidate Jeong Cheong-rae by 0.4 percentage points (1,207 votes).
The Democratic Party Election Management Committee plans to hold delegate voting at the national convention on the 17th, followed by the official announcement of the party leader, calculated by combining 70% of the member and delegate votes with 30% from public opinion polls.
