In the latest survey, the Democratic Party of Korea and the People Power Party recorded support ratings of 39% and 25%, respectively. With the gap exceeding the margin of error, the Democratic Party of Korea posted a higher support rating than the People Power Party.
Comparison With the Survey One Month Earlier
In the previous NBS survey released on August 13, 2026, the Democratic Party of Korea stood at 40% and the People Power Party at 23%. The two surveys were conducted roughly a month apart. In the latest survey, the Democratic Party of Korea fell 1 percentage point from the previous month. The People Power Party rose 2 percentage points to 25%.
The two parties moved in opposite directions. The size of the change remained within the margin of error for both parties. The People Power Party's gain (2 percentage points) was larger than the Democratic Party of Korea's decline (1 percentage point). Compared with the previous survey, the gap between the two parties narrowed.
The People Power Party posted a support rating in the 20% range in two consecutive surveys. This marks the second straight NBS survey in which the Democratic Party of Korea has outpolled the People Power Party.
