President Lee Jae-myung Approves Appointments of SMEs Minister and Deputy Prosecutor General
President Lee Jae-myung approved on Monday (local time) the appointment proposals for Lee So-young, nominee for Minister of SMEs and Startups, and Lee Jung-hyun, nominee for Deputy Prosecutor General.
Kang Yu-jung, senior presidential secretary for press affairs, announced that President Lee, currently in New York to attend the UN General Assembly, signed off on the two appointment proposals that day.
The National Assembly's Trade, Industry and SMEs Committee adopted the personnel hearing progress report on the ministerial nominee on Monday (Korea time) at 9:30 a.m. during a general meeting, in which the opposition parties included a recommendation of disqualification.
