Jang Dong-hyuk says Han Dong-hoon's potential return to party is hard to discuss as 'party members' bulletin board' case remains under investigation

Ruling People Power Party leader Jang Dong-hyuk said Tuesday that it is inappropriate to even mention the possible return of independent Rep. Han Dong-hoon to the party while a police investigation into the 'party members' bulletin board' case remains ongoing. Appearing on Newdaily TV's YouTube channel, Jang answered questions on the matter, saying, "Until the party bulletin board issue, which is under investigation, is resolved, it is not appropriate to even discuss the matter of his return to the party." He added, "This is not simply a matter of the party bulletin board."

"It is tied to the fate of the conservative party," he said, adding, "I believe Rep. Han Dong-hoon's behavior has not changed significantly, even now that he is a lawmaker."

Jang said, "The core criticism is whether we can win the general election in two years and the by-election next April," adding, "I believe all criticism of the party leader centers on elections." He went on to say that he pays no attention to internal party criticism or controversies, and is instead focusing on livelihood issues and working to build the party into a capable, policy-driven party.
