World Cup YouTube Videos Surpass 800 Million Views; AI Analysis Reveals Trends
AI analysis revealed that World Cup YouTube videos exceeded 800 million views in one month. Filer, which self-developed video understanding AI and content aggregation logic, announced a report on July 1 analyzing World Cup-related YouTube videos throughout June.
Twenty-seven percent of the analyzed videos were produced using AI, and an increase in content containing false information related to coaching appointments, such as rumors of coach Bento's return, was also confirmed.
World Cup-related YouTube content garnered a total of over 800 million views. Notably, during the final week of June, when consecutive losses to Mexico and South Africa confirmed elimination from the Round of 32 following the victory against the Czech Republic, video lengths increased and the 'like' ratio decreased, while the proportion of comments more than doubled.
Filer stated that its technology, designed to understand the nature and context of large-scale content explosively produced during sports events, will be used to block monetization of false information and create a safer digital environment.
