Incheon Mayoral Candidate Yoo Jeong-bok Unveils 3 Key Livelihood Pledges
Yoo Jeong-bok, the People Power Party's candidate for Incheon Mayor, has begun full-scale election preparations ahead of the June 3rd local elections. The campaign announced the second phase of its election committee appointments, revealing a significant influx of experts from various fields.
The second election committee includes individuals from the political, economic, labor, civic, culture/arts/sports, and media sectors. Honorary election committee chairpersons include former People Power Party presidential candidate Kim Moon-soo, and National Assembly members Na Kyung-won and Ahn Cheol-soo. The standing advisory board features former National Assembly members Shim Jung-gu, Min Bong-ki, and Lee Kyeong-jae. The committee chairpersons consist of former Deputy Prime Minister Hwang Woo-yeo, former National Assembly Vice Speaker Lee Yoon-seong, and former Incheon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo. The fundraising committee chairman is former National Assembly member Cho Jin-hyung. Media advisors include former KBS CEO Ko Dae-young, former MBC CEO Kim Jae-cheol, former YTN CEO Kim Baek, former Yonhap News CEO Song Hyeon-seung, and former Asiae Economy CEO Choi Young-bum.
Notably, the participation of former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Hwang Woo-yeo, and former Democratic Party National Assembly member Yoo Pil-woo, added further expertise. The general election committee co-chairpersons include former National Assembly members Jeong Yoo-seop, Yoon Sang-hyun, Bae Jun-young, Hong Il-pyo, Park Sang-eun, and Lee Hak-jae, along with regional leaders and city council members. Shin Jae-kyung and Hwang Hyo-jin, former Incheon Deputy Mayors for Political Affairs, will serve as co-chiefs of the general election headquarters.
The campaign emphasized citizen participation by separately forming a 'Citizen Participation Election Committee' open to all 3 million citizens of Incheon.
Yoo Jeong-bok's campaign officially kicked off election activities with an opening ceremony held on the 12th at 2 PM at the 'Jeongbok Camp' near Incheon City Hall Station. Attention is focused on the scheduled announcement of three major livelihood pledges: '1,000 Won Universe,' '100 Million Won Dream Care,' and 'Incheon Free Pass.'
