Despite Oil Price Freeze, Fuel Costs Rise in Jeonbuk Region
The government has implemented its fifth oil maximum price system, freezing prices at 1,934 won per liter for gasoline, 1,923 won for diesel, and 1,530 won for kerosene. This measure will be in effect for the next two weeks, with the government stating it aims to stabilize prices by considering fluctuations in international oil prices and consumer inflation.
However, consumer prices continue to rise despite the government's freeze on supply prices. As of March 27th, gasoline prices in the Jeonbuk region were 1,832 won per liter and diesel was 1,826 won. Currently, the average gasoline price in Jeonbuk stands at 2,007.85 won per liter, and diesel at 2,003.62 won.
This represents an increase of approximately 175 won for gasoline and 177 won for diesel, even while the same supply prices are being maintained.
