Han Sung-sook PM Hearing Opens 25th, Ruling-Opposition Divide Expected

The parliamentary confirmation hearing will be held for two days starting June 25th.

A fierce exchange is anticipated between the ruling and opposition parties over controversies surrounding Prime Minister nominee Han Sung-sook, including allegations of owning multiple homes and the personal information leak incident from 'Modu-ui Chang-eop.' The People Power Party is demanding the withdrawal of her nomination, citing property issues and the personal data breach. Conversely, the Democratic Party refutes these claims as an 'unreasonable political offensive.'

There are also concerns that the hearing could be an 'empty session' as not a single witness or reference person is scheduled to appear.
