USDC Payments Now Available on 82 Million Galaxy Devices

USDC can now be purchased on 82 million Galaxy devices. Eligible Galaxy device users in the United States can buy the dollar-pegged stablecoin USD Coin (USDC) through Samsung Wallet. Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies whose price is maintained in line with the value of real currencies such as the U.S. dollar.

Payments company Stripe announced on the 5th via a Newsroom post that its crypto deposit service, 'Crypto Onramp,' now supports Samsung Pay, credit cards, debit cards, and ACH (bank transfers) for purchases from Samsung Wallet's stablecoin account. Users can complete the purchase process by following the instructions for each payment method.

There are restrictions on eligibility. According to Samsung's guidelines, only U.S. residents aged 18 or older living in supported regions can create an account. Residents of New York State are excluded.
